Presidential Aide speaks about normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations 

"The process of normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations is primarily bilateral. For the process to move forward, there is a need for facilitating steps rather than any mediation mechanism," Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, told journalists in Shusha, Report informs.

According to him, the European Union, including Russia, is currently making some efforts to do so on a bilateral basis, offering opportunities: "Azerbaijan is also interested in this. The agenda includes humanitarian issues such as the peace treaty, delimitation, transport, missing persons, and landmines. First of all, the Armenian side should respond to them. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized these issues in his speech in Basgal."
