President speaks about importance of Zangazur Corridor in Italy

"The potential of wind, solar, and hydropower plants in the territories we liberated in the 2020 Patriotic War - Karabakh and Zangazur - is estimated at more than 10 gigawatts. We are already at the development stage of this significant potential," President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during his speech on "The role of Azerbaijan in energy security" at the 48th of the international Cernobbio Forum held in Italy, Report informs.

"Three leading energy companies from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom are already investing and will continue investing in three renewable energy plants. The total capacity of these plants is more than 700 megawatts. It will help us export additional gas, which will strengthen our export potential," the head of state stressed.
