Polad Bulbuloglu: 'I am convinced that our wise people will make the right choice today'

Today is a remarkable day in the history of Azerbaijani statehood. For the first time in the entire history of the sovereign republic, the voting in presidential elections will take place throughout the entire territory of Azerbaijan, including the liberated lands, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation Polad Bulbuloglu told Report's Russian bureau.

"Taking into account the time gap between Moscow and Baku, the voting has already begun in Baku, and it is already underway in many of our cities - Khankandi, Shusha, Khojaly," the ambassador noted.

He said that two polling stations have been opened in Moscow, capable of receiving more than 2,500 Azerbaijani citizens who live in the Russian capital.

According to Bulbuloglu, the voting in the presidential elections also began today at the Consulates General of Azerbaijan in Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg.

"I am absolutely convinced that the wise Azerbaijani people will make the right choice today," the ambassador concluded.
