Philippine undersecretary of foreign affairs: Grateful to Azerbaijan for NAM initiatives

Carlos D. Sorreta, undersecretary of foreign affairs for multilateral affairs and international economic relations of the Philippines, has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for the initiatives put forward within the chairmanship in the Non-Aligned Movement at the Ministerial Meeting of the NAM Coordinating Bureau in Baku, Report informs.

“Our region is full of challenges. We are facing various political and economic problems, and we need to clearly know how to overcome them,” he said.

He noted that now the world is facing the danger of climate change.

“We must work together with the UN Security Council to achieve a lasting and sustainable peace, we are ready to contribute to this common cause for a better and more secure future,” he said.
