According to Szijjarto, Hungary has greatly benefited from cooperation with Turkic states:
"Economy, security and energy supply are the main issues on our cooperation agenda with Turkic states. The world has changed considerably, and these changes have increased the importance of the OTS. The significance of our successful cooperation with Turkic states has also increased. It is not an exaggeration to say that we live in an era of dangers today."
The foreign minister emphasized that Europe faces serious challenges:
"We Hungarians have gained a lot from cooperation with Turkic states in recent years, and thanks to this cooperation, we can more easily find answers to the challenges currently shaking Europe. Despite global economic challenges, Turkic states have grown stronger economically. In recent years, the GDP of these countries has increased by 20 percent, while trade turnover among organization members has increased by 50 percent. We have also participated in this process, doubling our trade turnover with Turkic states."
