Tensions remain on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, in connection with which it was decided to send a mission of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) there, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, Report informs referring to Russian media.
“Yesterday it was decided that the CSTO mission would go to the border. They will submit a report that will be considered,” Peskov said.
He clarified that the decision was made late in the evening, the formation of the mission and its dispatch to the border will take some time.
On September 12, units of the Armenian Armed Forces carried out a large-scale provocation in the Dashkasan, Kalbajar and Lachin directions of Azerbaijan-Armenia state border. On September 14, the Armenian side, once again violating the ceasefire agreement reached, continued to fire at the units of the Azerbaijani army.
