Patricia Munabi: Women still suffer from gender-based violence

Despite the changes we have made in policy and legislation, women still suffer from gender-based violence, Patricia Munabi, executive director of the Forum for Women in Democracy, said at the international conference on women's empowerment in Baku, Report informs.

According to her, today women's participation in the entrepreneurial process is limited: “We are happy that we have organized such an event together with the Institute of Young Democrats. This event gives us the opportunity to contribute to gender equality. The Ugandan government made a proposal to re-organize this event in January next year. Because it is important for us that women’s organizations share their experiences. We can shape the future together.”
