Time has come to include the agreements reached with Azerbaijan in the peace treaty and sign it, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in his speech at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit, Report informs referring to Armenian media.
He noted that despite all the challenges, Armenia believes that the true and most desirable companion of democracy is a durable and stable peace.
“My government has taken its share of responsibility for this. We recently reached an agreement with Azerbaijan to begin the process of demarcating our interstate borders based on the 1991 Almaty Declaration. This means that in demarcating we will simply have to reproduce the administrative boundaries between Soviet Armenia and Soviet Azerbaijan, which, according to the Almaty Declaration, become state borders,” he added.
