Pakistani envoy: NAM process gained new life under Azerbaijan’s chairmanship

As part of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship in the Non-Aligned Movement, many important initiatives were put forward for developing countries, Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee told Report.

He noted that Azerbaijan successfully coped with all the tasks set within the NAM.

“The NAM process has gained a new life under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan has introduced many initiatives under the NAM, it has really invigorated the organization’s activity. Today, we saw that President Ilham Aliyev speaking at the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku highlighted the global challenges that confront the developing countries and stressed the need for a more transparent and equitable process to address those challenges,” the ambassador added.
