An office of the Pacific Alliance has been opened in Baku.
Report informs that the ambassadors of Colombia, Mexico, Chile, as well as Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov attended the opening ceremony.
As Columbian ambassador to Azerbaijan Luis Antonio Dimate Cardenas said at the event, "this is a very important event for the countries of the Pacific Alliance".
The diplomat underscored that the alliance pays great attention to regional integration, as well as cooperation, including in the tourism sector.
He recalled that the Pacific Alliance annually holds a meeting with the participation of all countries of the organization, as well as observer countries, including Azerbaijan.
"We highly appreciate Azerbaijan’s efforts in the alliance. The opening of the office will cement relations between Azerbaijan and the countries of the alliance, as well as open up new directions for cooperation. We are interested in cementing ties with Azerbaijan," the Colombian envoy added.
The Pacific Alliance is a trade bloc that includes four Latin American countries: Mexico, Peru, Chile, Colombia. Azerbaijan is an observer of the alliance.
