PACE calls on Baku, Yerevan to redouble their efforts to establish lasting peace in region

President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Tiny Kox has called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to redouble their efforts to find a solution to all remaining differences and contribute to the establishment of lasting peace in the South Caucasus region, Report informs.
He was speaking at the PACE autumn session in Strasbourg.
He noted that the recent escalation on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia had a negative impact on people.
The parliamentarians of Azerbaijan and Armenia are urged to use the Assembly as a platform for discussing sensitive and important topics through dialogue, the PACE president added.
