OIC Secretary-General congratulates Azerbaijan over successful snap presidential elections

The electoral process was conducted in a transparent, free, and organized manner, with a high turnout of voters to exercise their political and civic rights, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said in a statement, Report informs.

At the invitation of the Government of Azerbaijan, a high-powered delegation of observers from the OIC General Secretariat was dispatched to monitor the early presidential elections held in the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 7, 2024.

The OIC team monitored three stages of the elections: pre-voting preparations, Election Day, and vote counting. The team also met with relevant bodies and parties and received a briefing about the voting process.

The OIC Secretary-General, Hissein Brahim Taha, congratulates the Azerbaijani people for the successful organization of the presidential elections.
