Official Baku: Planned 'presidential elections' of illegal organization is extremely provocative step

Despite Armenia's recognition of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, this country's diplomatic missions accredited in various international organizations continue to issue various documents on behalf of the illegal regime.

Report informs that this was voiced at a briefing held for diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan with participation of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Assistant to President - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev and Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Special Assignments Elchin Amirbayov, on September 8.

It was noted that the planned so-called "elections" of the "president" of this illegal organization is an extremely provocative step. Such an open violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is not acceptable in any case.

“The provocations committed by Armenia have a negative impact on the normalization process and nullify the efforts of international actors in this direction. It is necessary to adequately understand the risks and threats arising from the irresponsible and destructive behavior of Armenia and to take appropriate measures to deter Armenia from such actions,” the briefing said.
