Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are actively developing inter-parliamentary cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats, Nizami Safarov, member of the Milli Majlis and head of the Working Group on Inter-Parliamentary Relations with Kazakhstan, said during the IV meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Expert Council, according to Report.

"This work is ongoing, and I am hopeful that in the future, we will be able to cooperate effectively with our Kazakh colleagues in the bilateral format," he said.

Safarov reminded that more than 40 international legal documents have been signed between Baku and Astana, including the declaration on friendly relations and strategic partnership.

He emphasized that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan should develop a common strategy to fight crime.
