New Lithuanian envoy to arrive in Azerbaijan next week

Kestutis Vaskelevicius has been appointed as the new ambassador of Lithuania to Azerbaijan by the decree of Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, the embassy told Report.
The new ambassador is expected to arrive in Baku on August 12.
It was earlier reported that the Lithuanian government proposed the president to appoint Kestutis Vaskelevicius as the new ambassador to Azerbaijan.
Prior to his appointment, Vaskelevicius was the head of the international relations and the EU group in the government chancellery, and he also held various diplomatic positions in other Lithuanian embassies.
