Nakhchivan hosts event on Türkiye's Democracy and National Unity Day

An event dedicated to July 15 - Democracy and National Unity Day of Türkiye was held at the Turkish Consulate General in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, Report informs.
Officials of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan and members of the public participated in the ceremony.
First, a moment of silence was observed to honor the memory of those who heroically died during the prevention of the coup attempt in Türkiye on July 15, 2016, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by the playing of both countries' national anthems.
Türkiye's Consul General in Nakhchivan, Asip Kaya, stated that today, Türkiye marks the ninth anniversary of the victory for democracy:
"This heinous coup attempt resulted in another heroic saga demonstrating the Turkish nation's loyalty to the rule of law and the country's democratic institutions."
It was emphasized that on the night of July 15, brotherly Azerbaijan firmly condemned this betrayal and stood by Türkiye. Today, Türkiye and Azerbaijan demonstrate cooperation, unity, and brotherhood in all areas.
After other speeches, a video dedicated to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to prevent the July 15 coup attempt was shown.
