"The Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood, strengthened by the slogan 'one nation, two states', will always exist," said Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Sentop.
Sentop noted that the decision to hold the first meeting of the parliamentary leaders of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Turkey in Baku was made in Islamabad. According to him, previously, there was a tripartite platform at the level of foreign ministers:
Now, this platform is being created at the parliamentary level. In the future, an international forum and mechanism will be completed at the level of heads of state to strengthen relations between the three countries further. We hope that an important step will be taken in this direction today.
The Speaker of the Parliament stressed that there is a remarkable unity, friendship, and brotherhood between Turkey, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan: "In the Second Karabakh War, Turkey sided with Azerbaijan disinterested and gave its political and moral support. Pakistan is also a country that openly supports Azerbaijan. In this regard, our states have a special unity and friendship. We want it to become a platform."
