Mukhtar Babaev: Climate change is one of most serious global threats

Climate change remains one of the biggest threats to the entire world, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan on climate issues Mukhtar Babayev said during a panel discussion held at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, Report informs.

According to Babayev, COP29 held in Baku proved that positive results can be achieved in this matter.

Babayev also noted that the interest of countries like Türkiye in hosting future COP conferences shows that the system is working effectively.

"However, the current priority is COP30, and we are providing the necessary support to Brazil. A very successful roadmap was prepared in Baku, where specific aspects of the path until 2035 were discussed. All these are important elements in the fight against climate change," he emphasized.
