MP: Russia is waging a hybrid war in Moldova 

The war in Ukraine affects all processes in Moldova. It is manifested in the economy (increased inflation, disruption of all supply chains), energy crisis, and instability in society," MP Vitalie Jacot told Report's European bureau.

The MP noted that, in fact, Russia is waging a hybrid war in Moldova: "It is true, the risk of being involved in a direct conflict has significantly decreased recently. But this risk has not completely disappeared, and it cannot be completely excluded that events will develop in this direction. The existence of an unrecognized entity (separatist Transnistrian region) under the control of the aggressor in Moldova and even the presence of his armed units here do not allow us to be comfortable."

Jacot added that Russia's attempts to constantly aggravate the political situation in Moldova through the political parties under its control do not help the development of the situation in the region: "But the government of Moldova is determined to get out of the current difficult situation, and international partners are providing necessary assistance in this matter. In this regard, the development of relations with our international partners based on the principles of mutual benefit and respect is very important for Moldovan society. Therefore, the government, the parliament, and the president will spare no effort to achieve significant success in this field."
