MP: Global community which ignored UN resolutions is now particularly sensitive to episodic issues

The world community now shows special sensitivity to episodic issues but was silent when the Azerbaijani lands were occupied for thirty years, the rights of more than 1 million Azerbaijani citizens were trampled, and ignored the UN resolutions, Azerbaijani MP Bahruz Maharramov said at the round table dedicated to December 10 - World Human Rights Day, Report informs.

According to him, France's position on these issues can be a good example:

"Today, the presence of a country like France in the UN Security Council, as well as in the UN administration, as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, prompts us to reconsider the meaning of 'the world is bigger than 5.' Mr. President has repeatedly said that the mechanism of implementation of UN resolutions must work. The establishment of the Center for Legal Expertise and Legislative Initiatives was one of the crucial steps taken in the legal history of Azerbaijan."
