Moussa Konate: Islam is a religion of peace, respect, and spiritual enlightenment

The international scientific conference themed "Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas," held in Baku has become an important platform for demonstrating the true values of Islam as a religion of peace, kindness, and humanism, Moussa Konate, a participant from Burkina Faso, told Report.

According to him, he came to Baku to take part in the conference and to inform the international community that Islam is not a religion of violence:

"Islam is a religion of peace, respect, and spiritual enlightenment. The conference in Baku gave us an opportunity to contribute to changing entrenched stereotypes. Unfortunately, in countries like France, Sweden, and Norway, many people still have a distorted understanding of Islam. They do not grasp its essence and consider it an aggressive religion. That is why we must continue working to shift public perception, tell the truth, and show that Muslims are peaceful and open people. I believe this is our shared and important mission."
