Mohamed El-Orabi: Goal of NAM member countries is to share positive experience

The goal of the member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement is to share positive experience, Abdel Hay El-Orabi, chairman of the Council of Foreign Affairs of Egypt and the former Foreign Minister Mohamed, said at the symposium “From Bandung to Baku: The Non-Aligned Movement in a Complex and Сhanging Global Context,” Report informs.

He noted that some political threats do not know borders and they need to be confronted in a comprehensive manner: these are terrorism, the food crisis, climate change.

“What is happening in Yemen and Sudan affects us directly. We feel a strong pressure that is hurting our economy,” he said, adding that Egypt today doesn’t have much problems with countries in the region.

He stated that today’s event in Baku could be a new start for discussing broader issues that are important for NAM member countries.
