Armenia violated international humanitarian law and targeted civilians during the Second Karabakh War, said Salim Ahmadov, an officer of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense, at a seminar dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions held in Baku, Report informs.
Ahmadov noted that during the rocket attacks by Armenia on the cities of Ganja and Barda, serious damage was inflicted on civilians and facilities:
"Armenia's rocket attacks on Ganja injured 174 people. Of these, 61 were men, 66 were women, and 47 were children. In the attack on Barda, 29 people were killed, including 19 men, eight women, and two children. During this attack, a total of 112 people were seriously injured, including 71 men, 26 women, and 15 children. These are all facts."
