Military attachés accredited in Azerbaijan visit mass grave found in Edilli - UPDATED

The military attachés of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan visited the mass grave discovered in the Edilli village of the Khojavand district, Report informs.

The employees of the relevant state bodies provided them with detailed information about the excavation works in the area, the remains found, and the work to be done in the future,.

It was noted that the items found on and around the remains of 12 people in the grave made it possible to assume that they were soldiers.

According to the information, it appears from the discovered remains that the hands and feet of those people were tied together with wire or rope before they died.

It was emphasized that excavation works will be continued after the removal of those remains following the relevant regulations. It is assumed that there are new ones under the discovered remains.

Later, it was announced that excavations will be carried out in other areas, including the Edilli village.
