The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Belgium held another round of political consultations in Baku, Repoirt informs, citing Azerbaijan’s MFA.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while the Belgian delegation was headed by Jeroen Cooreman, Director General for Bilateral Relations at the country's Foreign Ministry.

The consultations discussed political ties between Azerbaijan and Belgium emphasizing the importance of increasing trade turnover. The parties also discussed opportunities for cooperation in energy, transport, and high technologies, as well as strategic energy and transport projects implemented on the initiative and with the participation of Azerbaijan.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation within international organizations and discussed preparations for the COP29 conference, which Azerbaijan will host in November this year, as well as regional issues.
