MFA: Slovakia supports supply of Azerbaijani gas to European markets

Slovakia supports the supply of Azerbaijani gas to European markets, the Slovak Foreign Ministry told Report.
“Azerbaijan is perceived as an important gas producer and a potential transit country for gas produced by other Caspian nations. The Southern Gas Corridor is among the priority energy projects of the European Union, and we are considering ways to engage in cooperation in this field to bring gas to Slovakia,” reads the message.
“In the fields of energy and transport projects, Azerbaijan and Slovakia can cooperate through the Southern Gas Corridor, which is a priority project for the European Union. The development of transport infrastructure can also facilitate increased trade between the two countries.”
