MFA: It is hypocritical for France to present itself as defender of human rights and international law

It is hypocritical that France, as one of the countries that still continues neo-colonialism and does not give any importance to human rights within the colonial policy, today presents itself as a defender of human rights and international law, reads the commentary by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on the statement of the member of the board of the Baku Initiative Group against French colonialism at the meeting of the Special Political and Decolonization (Fourth) Committee of the UN Security Council, Report informs.

As stated, France is doomed to bankruptcy if it continues to live with groundless allegations, neocolonialist ambitions, and colonial dreams.

“Today, instead of taking responsibility for its colonial past, bloody colonial crimes and acts of genocide, and learning lessons from history, France's trying to implement the neo-colonialist hateful practice in the South Caucasus region with its geopolitical rivalry and colonial policy based on ‘Orientalism’ by supporting Armenian separatism in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. This is extremely dangerous and unacceptable,” MFA said.
