The Foreign Ministry has issued a statement condemning the shooting of the building of the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Report says, the statement came by Foreign Ministry's press service reads:
"On the night of November 7, the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv, Ukraine, was attacked. Unknown men fired six shots at the doors and windows of the consulate. No one was in the office during the attack, but the window and entrance door were damaged. We want to mention that security cameras recorded that the attackers were two young men.
The Kharkiv police have launched a criminal case in connection with the attack on the consulate building.
Considering the recent threats posed by radical Armenian forces to Azerbaijan's diplomatic missions abroad, this attack on our Honorary Consulate in Kharkiv should be regarded in this context.
We strongly condemn the life-threatening attacks of radical Armenian forces on Azerbaijani diplomats abroad, as well as members of the local Azerbaijani community. Our country's relevant agencies will interact and cooperate with local law enforcement agencies in foreign countries to bring to justice those responsible for such criminal acts against Azerbaijani citizens and members of the local Azerbaijani community abroad.
