MFA: Azerbaijan doesn’t recognize independence of Taiwan

Azerbaijan does not recognize Taiwan's independence and supports the "Oone China" policy, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Aykhan Hajizada, said when commenting on a question from local media about Lai Ching-te's victory in the elections in Taiwan, Report informs.
“As noted in the Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 13 January of this year, the Republic of Azerbaijan supports the “One China” policy, and our country does not recognize the independence of Taiwan.”
