Louis Bono: US supports establishment of long-term peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan

US supports establishment of long-term peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, US Department of State Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono said, according to Report.

He said the United States plays more of a role of supporting the peace process.

The peace treaty must be sustainable, he said that it should come from the parties, not from the United States or other countries.

According to the senior advisor, their goal is for the parties to talk.

Bono noted that he is aware of the position of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the OSCE Minsk Group. At the same time, it is important for the United States that Azerbaijan and Armenia contact, regardless of the format of mediation.

The senior advisor noted that after the visit and meetings in Baku, he will go to Yerevan tomorrow.
