Kyrgyz Embassy in Iran thanks Azerbaijan

The Kyrgyz Embassy in Iran expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for assisting in the evacuation of Kyrgyz citizens from the Islamic Republic, the embassy staff member Nazim Beyshekiev said, according to Report's southern bureau.

"On behalf of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Iran, I would like to express our deep gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for their hospitality and assistance in evacuating Kyrgyz citizens through the Astara border checkpoint. We look forward to further fruitful cooperation," he said.

Beyshekiev emphasized that the evacuation was carried out safely.

"Twenty-eight people, including families of diplomats, have crossed the state border. A second group will be sent shortly. The situation in Iran remains tense. We hope that the parties will resolve their differences through dialogue," the embassy representative said.
