Karen Donfried: There is opportunity for Azerbaijan and Armenia to move forward in normalizing relationship

Armenia and Azerbaijan now have the opportunity to make progress in the process of normalizing relations, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried said at a Washington Foreign Press Center briefing, Report informs referring to the US Department of State.
“I think there is real hope right now that there is opportunity for Azerbaijan and Armenia to move forward in normalizing that relationship, in seeking a settlement. I think we’ve seen both countries taking important steps that is something the US very much encourages,” she noted.
