"A joint media platform must be established between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The establishment of this institution between strategic allies and brotherly countries even has been delayed," said Badri Nachkebiya, executive director of Georgia's TV24 media holding and honored journalist.
According to him, experiments were conducted on the platform several years ago, and several television programs were prepared and broadcast in the Azerbaijani language:
"A joint media platform is clearly needed - the sooner, the better. We are ready to fully support the implementation of this initiative," he said.
Nachkebiya added that as a first step towards setting the platform, an online media resource - a joint news agency operating in Georgian, Azerbaijani, and other foreign languages could be established.
Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Ukraine already have joint media platforms.
