Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received the President of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) Grigory Ivliev, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting the sides noted that the development of the institution of intellectual property in Azerbaijan is in the focus of attention of the country's leadership, large-scale structural reforms are being carried out in this area, and management is being optimized.
It was emphasized that special attention was paid to the development of the intellectual property field in such documents of national importance as "Azerbaijan 2020: A Look into the Future" Development Concept, “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-economic Development” and “Strategy for the Socio-economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026”.
Grigory Ivliev noted the existence of wide opportunities for cooperation in the field of intellectual property, including training of personnel, registration of patents, and introduction of uniform standards.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
