There are contacts between Baku and Yerevan in various directions, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists, as quoted by Report.
According to the minister, there is also a working group on the opening of communications in the region.
He reminded that a hot line has been established between the two defense ministries recently.
"Although it was not intensive, I consulted with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia a few times over the phone. Our position on the peace treaty and the elements important for regional stability, in general, is that the main parties are Azerbaijan and Armenia and no one else will sign the treaty for us.
However, I should say that there are many international initiatives. Azerbaijan is ready to work with parties interested in contributing to the process and our stance has always been in line with it," the foreign minister noted.
