Jewish community of Azerbaijan commemorates victims of Hamas attacks on Israel

The memory of over 1,300 civilians killed in Hamas attacks on Israel has been honored in Baku.

According to Report, the event with participation of members of the Jewish community and other Azerbaijani citizens has been held at the Sinagogue of Mountain Jews in Baku.

The event participants strongly condemned the criminal actions of Hamas that led to over 1,300 deaths.

Head of the religious community of Mountain Jews Milikh Yevdayev expressed solidarity with Israel. He said the Jewish community of Azerbaijan stands for the implementation of joint commitments for the sake of peace.

Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek said Hamas's actions are aimed at terminating Israel.

He noted that Israel has a long and difficult path ahead but expressed confidence that his country will prevail.

Prayers for the souls of the victims of Hamas attacks in Israel were read after the speeches.
