Ilham Aliyev: TEKNOFEST festival - manifestation of Azerbaijan-Turkiye unity

“Today TEKNOFEST festival is another demonstration of our unity, its manifestation,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said during his speech at the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan festival, Report informs.

“TEKNOFEST is a celebration of science, development, knowledge and technology. Aziz Sancar also visited the festival. I remember the previous meeting with Aziz Sancar, he told me that he always had a great desire to go to Shusha. After meeting with me, he went to Shusha. For young people, people like Aziz Sancar are an example. He is a scientist, a citizen, a Turkologist and a patriot. You, young people, should try to be like Aziz Sancar,” Ilham Aliyev said.

President Ilham Aliyev also welcomed the technical director of the Turkish company Baykar Savunma, the creator of the Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Selcuk Bayraktar. “Selcuk bay is not only the organizer and initiator of TEKNOFEST, Selcuk bay and the Bayraktar family are known all over the world. Now there is no person in the world who would not know about the role of the famous Bayraktar drones in the second Karabakh war... Selcuk bay for young people is also a great example. I am sure that our youth will try to be like him,” Ilham Aliyev said.
