Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan to continue efforts for Azerbaijanis living abroad to never cut ties with their historical homeland

"Education of our compatriots living outside the Turkic states in their native language should always be on the organization's agenda. Necessary steps should be taken in this direction," President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said speaking at the 9th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Samarkand, according to Report.

Emphasizing that the state of Azerbaijan pays special attention to ensuring the rights, freedom, and security of Azerbaijanis living in foreign countries, President Ilham Aliyev said: "We will continue efforts so that our compatriots, separated from the state of Azerbaijan by the behest of bitter fate preserve our language, traditions, and culture, be loyal to the ideas of Azerbaijaniism, and never cut ties with their historical homeland."
