We put forward five basic principles of international law, including mutual respect for and recognition of the territorial integrity of both countries, President Ilham Aliyev told an opening of the IX Global Baku Forum, Report informs.
“We were glad to see that the Armenian government accepted these five principles,” the head of state added. “But now we need to move to practical implementation. Because we know from the history of occupation that, sometimes, words articulated by high-level officials of Armenia do not mean a lot. Azerbaijan, on its side, has already established the Azerbaijani commission on the peace agreement, and we expect the same to be done by Armenia.”
