Hikmat Hajiyev: Azerbaijan supports peace agenda

Azerbaijan supports normalization of relations with Armenia but Armenia should also fulfill its commitments, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of Azerbaijan, said in an interview with Al Jazeera, Report informs.
He recalled that it was Azerbaijan that initiated talks on the peace treaty with Armenia.
"Azerbaijan support the peace agenda and soonest signing of the peace treaty with Armenia," he said, adding that Armenia should also fulfill its commitments.
"First, it must withdraw its troops from Azerbaijani territories and stop financing the illegal proxy regime in the territories of Azerbaijan," the diplomat said.
