Georgian official speaks for further intensification of ties with Azerbaijan

Deputy Speaker of Georgian Parliament Levan Ioseliani has stressed the importance of developing the Georgia-Azerbaijan relations after the meeting with the Ambassador of Georgia to this country, Faig Guliyev.

He called on both countries to work to bring these relations to a higher level, according to Report.

Ioseliani said the meeting mainly focused on strategic partnership issues between the two countries.

"We recalled the projects which became a foundation of our strategic relations and were launched during the presidency of Eduard Shevardnadze. I will do my best to raise our relations with our Azerbaijani brothers in Georgia and, of course, with the Azerbaijani people to the level our countries deserve."
