Georgia offers to host Azerbaijan-Armenia dialogue

Georgia observes with concern another military escalation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the situation resulting from the conflict, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said, Report informs.

In the statement, the Georgian ministry called the parties to exercise restraint:

“According to reports, there are dead and injured people. It is necessary for the parties to start negotiating and not to escalate further. The escalation of the situation will have a very negative impact on the security of the entire region. The efforts of the international community are particularly important to prevent tensions and to ensure the renewal of dialogue.

Georgia is ready to continue its active participation in the restoration of peace and stability in the region, including offering to host a dialogue between the parties in Georgia,” the ministry said.
