Garibashvili: Promoting peace and stability - main goal now

One of the main goals of Azerbaijan and Georgia at the moment is to promote peace and stability, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said following the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Report informs.

He noted that during the meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, the situation in the region was discussed.

He said they talked about the turbulence that Ukraine is currently experiencing, and this, of course, increases the risk factors for countries. The prime minister of Georgia stressed that the countries had not faced such a global challenge since the Second World War.

The key goal is to promote peace and stability, which are the foundation of our nations, he said adding that another equally important goal is economic growth, the creation of more jobs.

Garibashvili noted that in this regard, Azerbaijan and Georgia speak “one language.”
