French writer: Criticisms written about Azerbaijan have no basis

French journalist-publicist Jean-Louis Kuro said in an interview with the Western European Bureau of Report News Agency.

"My last book about Azerbaijan devoted to Karabakh horses. I will write two more books related to Azerbaijan - Azerbaijani women and people living in different ethnic groups and religions in Azerbaijan, national and religious tolerance issues. I have a lot to say on these issues. My love and respect for the Azerbaijani people is endless. Azerbaijani people have a strong political and intellectual potential. I highly appreciate it," he said.

Jean-Louis Kuro said that Azerbaijan faced a number of crucial problems as it is located in a very complicated geopolitical region: "However, Azerbaijan seeks to maintain good relations with neighbors, and this is part of its successful policy. I am very angry with French journalists and politicians who make unfounded criticisms and pressure on Azerbaijan. The criticisms against Azerbaijan have no basis. I strongly condemn critically and biased articles in France against Azerbaijan. I have always invited my compatriots to abandon their biased position against Azerbaijan and avoid unnecessary criticisms."

According to him, the activity of democratic institutions serving different ideologies in Azerbaijan indicates the healthy development of the society: "I urge those who are trying to pressure Azerbaijan on the situation in Saudi Arabia, China and other countries. I appreciate the role of women in the Azerbaijani society. I have observed for many times that women who come from a number of Muslim countries wear black coats, but women in Azerbaijan are delighted with their delicate dresses and cheerful smiles on their faces. We should always support Azerbaijan as a young country. I love Baku city. There are ancient Ottoman and modern architectural styles in Azerbaijani capital, both of them complement each other."
