France appoints new ambassador to Azerbaijan

France has appointed Sophie Lagoutte as a new ambassador to Azerbaijan, the French Embassy in Azerbaijan said in a post on social network X, according to Report.
“It is a great honor for me to serve France, our interests, and our compatriots in Azerbaijan as ambassador. I will carry out this mission while continuing the path of Anne Boillon.
Together with the team of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, I look forward to further developing Franco-Azerbaijani relations in this region, which has strategic importance for our country and the European Union. See you soon,” Sophie Lagoutte said in a post on her X page.
