Foreign Ministry: Slovakia highly appreciates decision to open Azerbaijani embassy

Slovakia highly appreciates Azerbaijan's decision to open a full-fledged embassy in this country, Report informs referring to the Foreign Ministry of Slovakia.

"Slovakia and Azerbaijan enjoy a relatively intensive political dialogue and high-level contacts. There are no serious obstacles in our bilateral relations that would hinder further development of our cooperation in numerous areas. We greatly appreciate Azerbaijan's decision to open a full-fledged embassy in Slovakia. We consider this a reciprocal step, a confirmation of our friendly relations, and an expression of interest in intensifying our collaboration.

Slovakia views Azerbaijan as a country full of economic opportunities. Exploring business potential is among our top priorities. Generally, our current efforts are focused on creating a more sustainable foundation and adopting a more systematic approach to our economic cooperation. In pursuit of these goals, we are paying increased attention to several areas," reads the statement.

On June 6-7 a working visit of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov to Slovakia took place.
