Mutual visits of state officials indicate the strength of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, the countries which always support each other's initiatives, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a joint briefing following a meeting with his Georgian counterpart Ilia Darchiashvili in Tbilisi, Report informs.
“We have a tripartite Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Georgia platform. A number of important decisions were made and agreement was reached on some issues. The projects implemented by our countries are very important in terms of transport and energy security.
The trade turnover between the countries was $900 million, which is more than last year. Azerbaijan's oil and gas pipelines to world markets pass through Georgia. Those projects greatly contribute to the development of our region. The green energy corridor project can also be considered one of the important projects of the century,” Bayramov said.
