FM: Armenia's rapid militarization threatens sustainable regional peace-building process

A telephone conversation took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and his counterpart from Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s MFA.

The issues of cooperation between the two countries, as well as the regional and international security situation, were discussed in the telephone conversation.

The parties drew attention to the important role of such contacts in the development of the existing relations between Azerbaijan and Luxembourg, in the discussion of issues of mutual interest.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also informed the other party in detail about the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, the progress of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the current situation.

It was emphasized that the ongoing territorial claims against Azerbaijan in Armenian legislation, as well as the rapid militarization of this country, are the main factors that threaten the sustainable peace-building process in the region.

During the telephone conversation, opinions were also exchanged on other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
