Flag at half-mast at Embassy of Georgia in Azerbaijan

The flag was lowered at the Embassy of Georgia in Azerbaijan in connection with the day of mourning announced in Georgia due to the Shovi resort tragedy, Report informs, citing the embassy.

The landslide hit the Shovi area last week. Shovi, about 140 kilometers (85 miles) northwest of the capital Tbilisi, is popular for its mineral springs and rugged mountain vistas and contains cottages and small hotels.

Authorities confirmed the death of 18 people and noted that 16 people were still unaccounted for.
