First French Ambassador to Azerbaijan: Armenians living in Karabakh are Azerbaijani citizens

Armenians living in Karabakh are Azerbaijani citizens, Jean Perrin, the first French ambassador to Azerbaijan, told Report.

According to him, the stage of strengthening the victory of Azerbaijan continues successfully:

"Thirty years later, Azerbaijan has managed to resolve the Karabakh conflict. The OSCE Minsk Group failed to achieve this, although we voted for a large number of resolutions. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has successfully completed the operation, and the conflict has been resolved. Today, Azerbaijan is experiencing a period of consolidating victory. Today, Azerbaijan has entered a period of restoration of peace."

Perrin said that at this stage, Azerbaijan faces several vital issues that need to be addressed:

"One of them is the issue of citizenship of Armenians living in Karabakh. Azerbaijan's position is clear. Armenians living in Karabakh are Azerbaijani citizens. However, Armenians are protesting against it and they will continue to resist. In particular, this issue will be discussed at the level of the OSCE Minsk Group, and Armenians will try to influence the co-chairs. Armenians will continue to influence France. However, I believe that Azerbaijan will succeed in this matter."
